"Kelley's
music is very engaging and she surrounds herself with great producers,
guests, and players, but the power of her singing on this release
is truly staggering. When Aretha Franklin broke out in the late
'60s generations of women singers were inspired to follow her. Kelley
Hunt delivers that same kind of spirit and vocal chops, but in her
own voice and without imitation. She's also a mature, accomplished
gospel/blues piano player. I've gushed quite a few superlatives
for Kelley in these pages but nobody who's heard her has disagreed
with my enthusiasm."
