Lisa BuslerMontgomery, AL- Historic North Hull Street is the ideal setting for Tavern Fest, an outdoor music festival at Old Alabama Town. This fun filled block party, sponsored by Bama Budweiser and The Montgomery Advertiser, comes on Friday, October 27th, just as the leaves and temperature begin to drop.

This annual event is centered around the 1818 Lucas Tavern, currently Montgomery’s oldest restored building. This historic landmark is the ideal setting for a fall festival where attendees will enjoy great food, taste specialty beer and wine, sample craft beers and listen to world class musical performances. The headlining act this year is regional favorite, Blues Old Stand. Also performing is Grammy nominated and W.C. Handy Award Winner, Kent DuChaine, and the nationally recognized Pedro Mayor Jazz Combo.  

Tickets are $8 and may be purchased at the gate, or in advance at the Old Alabama Town Reception Center. Reserved tables may be purchased for $100 and will seat six patrons. A complimentary bottle of wine and craft beer tasting is included with each reserved table. Reservations are required for tables. Gates open at 6 pm and music begins at 7 pm. The annual event is centered around the 1818 Lucas Tavern, located in the heart of historic downtown Montgomery, just four blocks from the Capitol. The tavern originally stood on Old Federal Road and was moved to Old Alabama Town in the late 1970s. It was restored and is currently Montgomery’s oldest restored building.
